Mrs. Katie Wisniewski (“Ms. Wiz”) is honored to be returning to the Quaker Valley Marching Band staff after having previously served as Quaker Valley Marching Band’s colorguard instructor from 2012-2017. Mrs. W has been involved in colorguard and marching band since 2000 as both a performer and instructor. In her 20-year tenure as a instructor, Mrs. W has worked with the Northgate School District, the Quaker Valley School District, and is currently with the North Hills School District.

Mrs. W works for the Beaver County Rehabilitation Center in the School to Work Department. Here she serves as a Transition Specialist, working with students who have IEP’s and 504 plans throughout the Beaver County area to provide vocational and pre-employment education. Mrs. W is currently attending Western Governor’s University where she is majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education and will graduate in December 2024.

Mrs. W resides in the Chippewa area with her husband Sean and their two daughters Emmalee and Rylee. When Mrs. W is not at work or at band, she volunteers at the Highmark Caring Place, facilitating peer-to-peer grief support for grieving families. Mrs. W also loves being a spectator at Blackhawk Area Youth Lacrosse games and Blackhawk Cougar Marching Band performances, where her daughters are current members.
